First Worldwide NKG Employee Survey: Strong Participation and Great Place to Work® Certifications

February 27, 2026

Globally operating green coffee service group Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) has successfully completed its first group‑wide employee survey, achieving an exceptionally high level of participation. The results paint a very positive overall picture of the group’s workplace culture.

Between October and November 2025, more than 2,600 employees in office and non-office roles worldwide took part in the survey, representing an 82 percent response rate. 83 percent of the participants stated that, “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work” (compared to a Market Benchmark Global figure of 72 percent).

Open and transparent communication, mutual support among colleagues, and a strong sense of team spirit were highlighted as particular strengths. Flexible working time arrangements as well as the group’s focus on mental and emotional wellbeing also received above average ratings in an international comparison.

“The high participation rate and the honest feedback from our employees provide a strong foundation for the continued development of our corporate culture,” says Maren Uzarek, Group Chief People Officer at Neumann Gruppe GmbH, the Holding company of NKG. “At the same time, the results clearly show where there is room for further development – particularly with regard to leadership, collaboration, and the importance of trust and transparency in a challenging economic environment.”

Based on the survey results, more than 80% of the NKG group companies  have already been awarded the Great Place to Work® Certification in the very first survey cycle. The certification is granted by the internationally recognized Great Place to Work® Institute and is based on a confidential, datadriven employee survey. It evaluates key dimensions of a hightrust workplace culture, including credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

The results are currently being discussed with the local teams and translated into specific actions. NKG intends to conduct the employee survey again at the end of 2027 to assess progress.

“Our ambition is to further strengthen NKG as an employer of choice in the long term,” Uzarek adds. “This can only be achieved together – through leadership that provides clear direction and through employees who actively contribute and engage.”
