With InterAmerican Coffee Australia, Neumann Kaffee Gruppe extends its successful business model for high-quality and specialty coffee to the Australian coffee market.

InterAmerican Coffee Australia recently started operations as the first company of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG), the world’s leading green coffee service group, in Australia. By focusing on high-quality and specialty coffee as well as flexible services, it follows the successful business model of InterAmerican Coffee, the specialty coffee branch of the group, that currently operates in Europe and the United States.

While InterAmerican Coffee Australia is a local business focusing on the import of coffee, it benefits from being part of the wider network of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, that consists of more than 50 companies in 26 countries. “Australia is an exciting market because of the fast rate of change and innovation. It is perfectly aligned with a company like ours that can offer a broad range of origins and services”, says Daniel Vella, General Manager of InterAmerican Coffee Australia. “I’m excited by the opportunity to partner with Australian roasters and introduce them to our carefully curated selection of green coffee we have sourced with a roasters mindset from over 18 of the best coffee producing countries.”

The company is located in a multifunctional site in Rozelle, a suburb in the inner west of Sydney. There it combines an office and quality lab with a ‘grab and go’ warehouse for customers who wish to collect small amounts of coffee. In the beginning the focus will be on serving small to medium-sized roasters in the premium segment. “We are taking a long-term approach and building a range with products our customers can rely on”, says Vella. There are plans of establishing warehouses as well as sales offices and labs in other cities to be able to further develop the Australian coffee market and to serve all types of roasters across Australia in the future.
