NKG Publishes Sustainability Report 2026 Including New Sustainability Strategy

August 26, 2026

Green coffee service group Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) has published its Sustainability Report 2026. This CSRD-aligned report provides a comprehensive overview of NKG’s sustainability performance, progress, and commitments in 2025. As part of the report, NKG presented its new sustainability strategy.

NKG’s Sustainability Report 2026 reflects the progress achieved over the past year and presents the company’s new sustainability strategy. Built around the three pillars of Nature, Resilience, and Livelihoods, the strategy sets a clear direction for how NKG creates long-term value in a rapidly changing coffee sector. Defined KPIs and country-specific action plans guide implementation, while NKG’s origin teams play a central role in translating global priorities into locally relevant solutions. Economic viability underpins all three pillars, as sustainability can only be scaled and sustained when participation along the value chain remains viable.

The report showcases sustainability initiatives from across the NKG network. It highlights actions, partnerships, and commitments, including strengthening sustainable coffee supply chains, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, supporting viable livelihoods in coffee-growing communities, and fostering an engaging, inclusive workplace environment. “This report demonstrates how our new sustainability strategy helps us address key challenges in the coffee sector while creating long-term value for our business and stakeholders,” said Carolin Ehrensperger, Co-Lead NKG Group Sustainability.

A significant development in this year’s report is its alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). NKG has voluntarily begun implementing the CSRD framework and structure, an important first step towards full CSRD compliance by 2028. “We aim to strengthen trust with our stakeholders and enhance a more comprehensive view of our sustainability performance by sharing our progress transparently and aligning our reporting with emerging standards”, said Dr. Sarah Tischer, Co-Lead NKG Group Sustainability.
