With the latest harvest behind them, Honduras’ smallholder coffee farmers are adopting methods that protect yields and crop resilience for seasons to come. This article is part of a series on regenerative agriculture across the coffee agronomic cycle, as practised by exporters within Neumann Kaffee Gruppe.

Honduras may only be the size of an average US state, but its coffee-growing regions are remarkably diverse, spanning elevations from 700 to 2000 metres, and offering microclimates as varied as the cups of coffee they produce.

It’s in this patchwork landscape that Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG), led locally by its group company Beneficio de Café Montecristo (Becamo), is helping thousands of smallholder farmers adapt to the growing pressures of climate change.
