NKG began preparing for implementation of the regulation at an early stage, with key systems and processes in place from the initial date of applicability at the end of 2024. By the end of 2025, more than 400,000 plots had been assessed for deforestation risks.
NKG’s approach provides a Group-wide framework for EUDR compliance, operationalized by each relevant Group company. It builds on a common due diligence framework, supported by osapiens, and a dedicated osapiens Excellence Team for internal support and knowledge transfer.
In 2025 our EUDR Protocol was launched, describing the common framework for data collection, validation, and risk assessment; it is currently being updated in line with European Commission guidance. This is supported by significant investments in internal capabilities, data collection support, and a specialist GIS team in Neiva. This work builds on NKG Verified, long-standing supplier relationships, and close collaboration with business partners.
