19 THE NKG CODE OF CONDUCT OUR COMMITMENTS What is harassment Any form of behavior with the purpose or the effect of violating the dignity of a person and of creating an intimidating hostile degrading humiliating or offensive work environment Examples include unwanted sexual conduct threats and physical intimidation as well as offensive comments jokes and slurs No harassment We foster fair working conditions without any kind of discrimination Consequently we do not tolerate any form of harassment in the workplace 4 Freedom of association and collective bargain Workers have the right to join trade unions of their own choosing and to bargain collectively Workers representatives are not discriminated against and may carry out their representative functions in the workplace 5 4 ILO Conventions Nos 100 111 UN Convention on Discrimination against Women 5 ILO Conventions Nos 87 98 Th e m in im um a ge a t w hi ch ch ild re n ca n st ar t w or k Po ss ib le e xc ep tio ns fo r de ve lo pi ng c ou nt rie s Hazardous work Any work which is likely to jeoparadize childen s physical mental or moral health safety or morals should not be done by anyone under the age of 18 18 18 16 under strict conditions Basic Minimum Age The minimum age for work should not be below the age for finishing compulsory schooling and in any case not less than 15 15 14 Light work Children between the ages of 13 and 15 years old may do light work as long as it does not threa ten their health and safety or hinder their education or vocational orienta tion and training 13 15 12 14
