Various individual NKG operative companies have been and continue to be directly involved in coffee related project work through public-private partnerships. Concepts are manifold ranging from assisting local communities in activities to enhance their social infrastructure, to collaborating with farmer groups involved in projects in the field of development cooperation. NKG companies' gathered experience and dedication is always made available to such project work. Presently, operative group companies are active in project work in Uganda, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Costa Rica with further projects planned elsewhere.
A project to enhance expert coffee knowledge in producing countries is the NKG Coffee Diploma. The project shall improve the opportunities for coffee producing countries to make better use of the potential benefits of coffee operations by providing vocational training to young local coffee professionals in various key business areas. The NKG Coffee Diploma program benefits from the group's core competence and unique know-how. Upon returning to their home countries, graduates will be in a position to play a productive and supportive role in the local coffee industry.
